Today, I am a dreamer, a big dreamer. I fearlessly pursue my dreams, and never give up, as dreams do come true. I work hard and play hard and have the life I’ve always dreamed of. However, it wasn’t always like this for me, and I went through a dark place to rediscover my dreams.
Hi, I’m Dr. Lauri Trites, I’d love to share my back story with you to see if this resonates with where you are in your own lives.
As a young person, I imagined a beautiful life for myself. I worked hard, embracing every opportunity, and moved through life without fear. I became an emergency doctor, had 3 beautiful children, and lots of worldly achievements. The pinnacle of success, right? This couldn’t be more wrong. Just a few years into this ‘success story’, I found myself overwhelmed, stressed out, unfulfilled and disillusioned. How had I gotten to this place? I found myself thinking “I’ve worked so hard for this?” “Is this really it?” Something had to give…
I initially tried to figure it out by myself, I thought that I didn’t need any help. But after years of self-help books, counselling and asking friends for advice, I continued to be stuck and unfulfilled. I decided to try coaching as nothing else had worked, what did I have to lose!
To my amazement, coaching completely took me by storm. This was different than anything I had tried or experienced in the past. My coach was able to help me cut through the confusion, and with laser clarity help me see exactly what I needed to do to get my life back on track. Excitement began to resurface. I discovered that my dreams were still alive, just deeply buried. My coach helped me pull off the layers that were keeping me stuck. My dreams re-emerged, and this time, even more brightly. With her guidance, I knew what I wanted and how to get it. Since then, I’ve never looked back. I live my life with passion and on purpose.
This coaching process was so powerful, and saved me years of agony, that I felt compelled to learn more and train as a coach so that I could share this powerful transformation with other professional women who were stuck in the same place and feeling the same sorts of things that I had felt, so they too could start living their best possible lives. I still practise as a medical doctor, but my coaching career has taken off as my clients find the same transformations that I did but in a much shorter time. I love my coaching career and am passionate to share it with others! Now, I help people rediscover what they really want and help them get it, so they can look around and exclaim “Yes, I’ve worked hard and created this incredible life for myself, and I absolutely love my life!”
